LoatheBritish metal stars Loathe are heading to Australia in May, today announcing their first-ever headline tour across the country.
While this year marks Loathe’s debut Australian headline tour, the band most recently appeared Down Under on the Good Things Festival 2024 bill and enamoured the audience at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre while opening for Korn that year.
Loathe made their Australian debut in 2022, opening for fellow British band While She Sleeps. While they were here, they played a one-off headline show in Melbourne. Fans who have patiently waited for more Loathe need wait no more.
The tour begins at Perth’s Magnet House on Saturday, 9 May. From there, the band are set to perform at Adelaide’s The Gov on Monday, 11 May, Melbourne’s 170 Russell on Wednesday, 13 May, Sydney’s Metro Theatre on Thursday, 14 May, Newcastle’s King St Bandroom on Friday, 15 May, and conclude the run at Brisbane’s The Tivoli on Saturday, 16 May.
The Adelaide, Sydney, and Brisbane shows are licensed for fans of all ages.
Loathe will be joined by special guests Static Dress, who will perform in Australia for the first time. The UK rockers seamlessly blend post-hardcore, emo, screamo, metal, pop and electronic, for a wholly modern take on heavy music.

Last year, Loathe returned with the single Gifted Every Strength, a six-minute-plus rager that showcases seamless stylistic shifts. The track marked their first new music in over three years and hinted at where the band are heading following the release of 2020’s breakthrough LP, I Let It In and It Took Everything.
