Just days after releasing her third album, Older, Lizzy McAlpine has given her fans another reason to be stoked: she’s announced her first-ever Australian tour.
The young rising star has grown immensely in popularity in recent years and seems to be on a creative hot streak. McAlpine released her debut album, Give Me A Minute, in August 2020. Described as a “cottagecore-esque” release, Give Me A Minute accompanied Taylor Swift fans who couldn’t get enough of folklore.
Her second album, Five Seconds Flat, arrived in 2022, with the folk-pop single Ceilings driving popularity on TikTok. On Friday (5 April), McAlpine released her third album and major label debut, Older.
As well as releasing her own music, McAlpine has joined forces with Niall Horan (on You Could Start A Cult) and Noah Kahan (Call Your Mom), while she’s collaborated with Jacob Collier and Finneas in her own songs.
McAlpine will bring her highly anticipated Older Tour to the East Coast of Australia this July. The dates begin on Friday, 12 July, at Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall, followed by Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on Tuesday, 16 July, and ends at Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena on Thursday, 18 July.

General sale tickets will be available on Thursday, 11 April, at 9 am local time, with a Secret Sounds pre-sale from Wednesday, 10 April, at 9 am local time. You can find tickets via the Secret Sounds website.
McAlpine said about her latest album, “To me, this album represents who I’ve become over the past three years. Through the long and mostly tumultuous journey of making it, I have learned who I am as a person, who I want to be as an artist and what kind of art I want to make. This album is a culmination of that growth, showcasing the rawest and most honest version of me.”
Lizzy McAlpine was set to make her Australian debut at Splendour In The Grass this year, but the festival was cancelled just weeks after tickets went on sale.
