“You will see me next year and the year after and so on,” Gallagher wrote, but it may or may not be with Oasis.

Liam Gallagher has addressed his previous comments about Oasis touring again soon, admitting that he and his bandmates “need to sit down and discuss” plans.
The Wonderwall singer recently implied that the Britpop icons could continue touring next year after a fan asked if he felt “sad that the tour is ending soon.” Sharing a cheeky response, Gallagher wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter), “I’m not actually as I know things you don’t know.” He then told fans confused by his reply to “Google it.”
Fans quickly came across results on Google that included rumours of further Oasis shows in 2026, including at Knebworth – 30 years after their historic shows at the venue.
In September, Gallagher also teased potential future Oasis shows when he told fans during the band’s final nights at Wembley, “See you next year.” It’s a sentiment Gallagher echoed during the group’s second and final show at Sydney’s Accor Stadium earlier this month, when he said, “See you again.”
Now, in new responses to fans online, Gallagher said the Wembley comment received “a few tuts and raised eyebrows.” Replying to another fan, he said, “You will see me next year and the year after and so on,” but it may or may not be with Oasis, as the band need to sit down and discuss more shows.
He wrote, “You will see me next year and the year after and so on just not sure yet if it’ll be with Oasis we need to sit down and discuss these things if it was all up to me then you know we’d be touring till the day we die as it’s the best thing in the world but UNFORTUNATELY it’s not.”

After three huge nights at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium, Oasis concluded their Australian shows with two nights at Accor Stadium this month. The tour ultimately drew a combined attendance of over 320,000 fans across five sold-out stadium shows.
"Thanks for putting up with us; we know we were dickheads sometimes,” Gallagher told the enthusiastic crowd in Sydney. “Your support has put us back on the map. Respect! You’ve got a lovely fucking country. See you again.”
The band’s first Melbourne show was praised by The Music’s Christopher Lewis, who wrote: “This wasn’t late-era Oasis desperately trying to grasp the remaining sand in their hands and watching it slowly slip through their fingers. This was an imperious band revisiting their legacy.”
The energy of the show's audience was also noteworthy, with the Seismology Research Centre in the suburb of Richmond picking up the crowd's up-and-down movement. 7 News Melbourne noted that in that time, “the earth was bouncing around like a low-frequency bass speaker.”
