Last Quokka drop a ferocious new single 'Save Our Pubs' alongside LP and announce a national tour.

Perth punk rockers Last Quokka have returned with Save Our Pubs, their new single out today.
The latest single off their upcoming album Take The Fight To The Bastards — due for release on March 14th — Save Our Pubs is a call to arms for all Australian (and un-Australian) beer drinkers, pool players, footy fans and chicken parmi lovers to save our most cherished cultural institution (the pub.)
The band’s frontman Trent Rojahn takes aim at new ‘soulless bars’ with their plastic pints, lack of sticky carpets and overpriced soggy chips.
“The big corporates are buying our pubs and turning them into gentrified yuppie wastelands, devoid of taste, character and good pub feeds,” and Last Quokka are sick of it.
Rojahn’s explosive rants are backed up by a tightly wound band who together combine heavy rhythms and socially conscious lyrics to create their fourth LP, with more gut-wrenching garage punch anthems that we are all too familiar with from Last Quokka.
Alongside the announcement of this single and LP, Last Quokka have just began a national tour. They will be hitting four locations in WA before travelling east to Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

They have a large lineup of punk-rock support acts, such as Peep Temple, Grub, Melodeons, Party Pest and Gusset Rats, to help bring the noise on tour.
We are sure that they will be keen to sink a few at these gigs.
Last Quokka saw success in their previous LP, Red Dirt, with Eat The Rich gaining traction for its harsh critique of wealth inequality and capitalism.
Hit single Cost Of Living, released in 2024, had Rojahn pretty much screaming about how he spent $6 on capsicum, that we have to pick up extra shifts at work to put dinner on our plates, and politicians aren’t trying to help, which is “Fresh bullsh*t”.
Last Quokka’s activism is deeply rooted in their music. Not only do they show solidarity in their songs, but also through their not-for-profit gigs to raise funds for marginalised communities.
This band is not just making noise; they aim to make change.
