The star will drop 'Ultraviolence' this June
Demure songstress Lana Del Rey is back in the spotlight with today's announcement that her new album Ultraviolence will hit physical and digital stores in Australia on June 13.
The album, released via Interscope/Universal Music Australia, will be available in standard and deluxe editions across several formats: digital download, CD and vinyl, with a Collector's Box sporting the deluxe vinyl and CD as well as four shmick-as, 12-by-12-inch art prints.
Ultraviolence, which Del Rey has said is notably “darker than [her] first” full-length, was birthed in company of high esteem, with first single West Coast featuring the co-writing talents of author Rick Nowels and production from The Black Keys' Dan Auerbach.
The album is set to further raise Del Rey's already considerable profile, which exploded in the wake of her debut single Video Games and multi-platinum sophomore LP (but debut major release) Born To Die, before Hollywood came calling – her song Young And Beautiful lent morose gravitas to the excess of The Great Gatsby, and Once Upon A Dream is set to do similar favours for Disney's upcoming Maleficent.
