Iron Maiden formed in East London in 1975. Today, they’re one of heavy metal’s most influential and enduring acts, releasing 17 albums, selling over 100 million records, and performing almost 2,500 concerts across 64 countries across their career.
The documentary will feature on-camera interviews with the band, as well as some of their big-name admirers, including No Country for Old Men and Skyfall actor Javier Bardem, Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich, and Public Enemy’s Chuck D.
Throughout the documentary, fans and newcomers alike will grow an understanding of the band’s influence on music, culture, and their lifelong fans.
Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition drops as the band continues their two-year Run For Your Lives World Tour, following the announcement of their one-of-a-kind, first-ever EddFest. The festival is set to be held at Knebworth Park this July.
The band last toured across Australia in September 2024. Reviewing their show at Perth’s RAC Arena, The Music’s Jake Fitzpatrick wrote: “Despite their long career, this is a band that clearly still has it.
“With a setlist spanning their illustrious career, a production that was nothing short of spectacular, and an electrified crowd, the evening was a testament to why Iron Maiden remains one of the greatest bands in rock history.”
