ON THE ROAD...

A massive tour run from our mate Seth Sentry has been announced. The rapper will play a stack of shows across the country throughout August, September and October. More.

Indie pop wunderkind Pluto Jonze will take his upcoming debut album out on the road. The tour will kick-off in July just after LP drops on Friday 12 July. Read on.

Futurist dub pop outfit Standish/Carlyon will play a couple of headlining gigs over the coming months. The duo will launch their acclaimed debut album, Deleted Scenes at the shows. Details.

Emerging hip hop artist Citizen Kay will embrak on his 'Visions' tour this winter. The rapper/beatmaker will play six headlining gigs throughout July and August. More.

Alex Wall's Wax Witches is heading back onto the tour circuit for a quick run of dates in July and August. The dude from the Bleeding Knees Club will visit a handful of venues across the east coast. Read on.

EYE ON THE CHARTS...

There's been a few debuts in the top twenty of AIR's singles/EP charts for independent labels with independent distribution chart this week. Hollywood Hustlers nabbed the highest first time entry with I Need Your Love (LNG Music/Xelon) in at five, with Midnight Juggernauts' Ballad Of The War Machine (Siberia/Inertia) and The Cat Empire's Steal The Light (Two Shoes/Inertia) single filling out the final two positions in the twenty.

Sheppard's self-titled EP (Independent/MGM) held onto the top spot, while an artist to look out for could be Flight Facilities. Their track I Didn't Believe (Future Classic/Independent) featuring Elizabeth Rose jumped from sixteen the previous week to eight.

Emerging rapper Rates had a big debut in the top 20 albums released on independent labels through independent distribution chart. His album Destroy & Rebuild (Obese Records) entered in second spot. Midnight Juggernauts' Uncanny Valley (Siberia/Inertia) was an impressive third. The other debuts were Benjalu's The Battle (Independent) and For Our Hero and their release Young Wolves (Independent/MGM).

The Cat Empire claimed number one again with their Steal The Light (Two Shoes/Inertia) album, while there were also a couple of big leaps for Seth Sentry's This Was Tomorrow (High Score Records/Inertia) and Abbe May's Kiss My Apocalypse (Independent/MGM). They came in at four and eleven respectively.

OTHER RELEASE NEWS...

Congrats to songstress Emma Louise - it appears there's a lot of love for her in Italy. The singer-songwriter has gone platinum in the European nation thanks to a remix of her track My Head Is A Jungle. More.

We've had the exclusive streams of new singles from some local rock outfits this week. Shock metal band Horrorwood Mannequins and progressive hard-rockers Delorean Tide will officially release the tracks at the Dead Of Winter festival. Listen.

The premiere of the new clip from The Jed Rowe Band dropped this week. The Melbourne guys got pretty bleak on Castlemaine. Watch.

Sydney indie four-piece Evan & The Brave have inked a deal with with Premier Artists. The guys will now be looked after by booking agent agent Jon St. Clair. More.

Brisbane indie-pop ladies Go Violets had a randomly awesome moment this past week - their track 2012 Teenager featured on a US Special K advertisement. Watch.

Dallas Frasca experienced something pretty amazing over the last weekend. The guitarist and her band played to record crowds at the Le Mans 24hr Circuit in France - the arena performance was the first on their European summer festival tour.
