The Carlton Dry Independent Music Awards announced a massive $50,000 new career development grant through the week. The inaugural comp, a collaboration between Australian Independent Record Labels Association and sponsors Carlton Dry, takes place in next month, with the latter providing the grant to a list of possible recipients including Big Scary, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard and Collarbones, to name a few.
