"He’s been trying, trying really hard."
Morrissey has cancelled his third show in six months in San Antonio, Texas this week, following ongoing concerns about his health and voice and the musician having to cut a show short in Arizona.
As Slicing Up Eyeballs reports, a show in Tucson, Arizona enjoyed only six songs on Monday night (US time) before the iconic musician left the stage during Everyday Is Like Sunday.
Arizona Daily Star reports that Morrissey earlier in the show said, "It seems I have left half my mouth in Guadalajara. But I will stand here and I will sing, and, if necessary, I will drop dead."
However when he finally walked off, bandmate Gustavo Manzur reportedly told the disappointed crowd, "His voice is shot. You heard it, you heard it. He’s been trying, trying really hard. He came out, he tried. His voice is really shot. We’re sorry. He’s sorry."

The San Antonio venue also stated, "Following health concerns stemming from Morrissey's appearance in Tucson, it is with great sadness that tonight's sold out engagement in San Antonio at the Tobin Center is cancelled to allow him to fully recuperate."
Morrissey's health has been in the spotlight of late, with NME reporting last year that the Smiths frontman's cancer-related treatments had "slowed [him] down".
He also said in 2014, "They have scraped cancerous tissues four times already, but whatever. If I die, then I die. And if I don’t, then I don’t."
Morrissey was last in Australia last year for a tour.
