Foxtel's in-house entertainment channel Fox 8 has today announced that it will air the youth-focused Olympic show, The Beat Of London.

Hosted by Darren McMullen, who was the recent host of Channel Nine's The Voice, the show will feature celebrities, sports stars and live music acts such as Mark Ronson, Katy B, Dizzee Rascal, Paloma Faith and The Wanted.

A joint venture between British network ITV and corporate sponsor Coca-Cola, 30-year-old McMullen - who emigrated from Scotland to Australia as a pre-teen - will present the show alongside UK MTV's Lauren Whitmore. The Beat Of London will air in over 30 countries.

McMullen said today, "I'm extremely excited to be in London for the Games hosting a show that will be focused on a youth audience. We will have your AAA pass into all the hottest events happening around the city and will chat to the biggest stars as they descend upon London to be a part of the greatest show on earth, the London 2012 Olympic Games.”

McMullen's role in the second series of The Voice is rumoured to be under review, with Channel Nine executives looking at Andrew Günsberg as his replacement.
