Dom Dolla’s largest Australian tour to date kicks off this Friday (29 November) in Sydney, so it’s about time fans knew who would be opening the shows, right?
Yesterday, the Aussie producer and DJ revealed that his good mates, Flight Facilities, would be opening all dates in Sydney, Perth, and Melbourne, but for his final show of the tour on Saturday, 21 December, he’ll likely be preparing a surprise for his Brisbane fans.
The Saving Up producer said of the support act announcement: “Australia… I’m coming home and bringing some friends with me this is going to be nuts.”
Flight Facilities added, “We’re joining Dom Dolla in Australia. The UK shows were so fun that Dom Dolla asked us to keep the good times rolling. See you there.”
In case you missed it: the venues Dom Dolla is headlining are huge. He begins the run at The Domain in Sydney this Friday and Saturday (30 November) before heading to Perth’s Wellington Square on Saturday, 7 December, Melbourne’s Flemington Racecourse on Friday, 13, and Saturday, 14 December, and finishing the run at Brisbane’s Riverstage on Friday, 20, and Saturday, 21 December.

Last July, Flight Facilities released their highly anticipated album, the 2012-2022 Decade Mix. The duo’s Hugo Gruzman explained the intent behind the latest instalment in their Decade Mixes: “It was a decade best summed up by podcasts, cancel culture, fake news, and memeing our way through tragedy and triumph.”
The release tracked era-defining moments, such as the debuts of Billie Eilish, Interplanetary Criminal & Eliza Rose, Fred Again.., Childish Gambino’s This Is America, Tame Impala’s genre-defying The Less I Know The Better, Daft Punk’s Get Lucky, and many more. Remixing 78 tracks, it’s a genuinely remarkable piece of work.
Gruzman continued, “But was 2012-2022 any crazier than eras past, or was it that the prevalence of social media put major international events on our digital doorsteps? A Hollywood star becoming the leader of the free world? Bizarre… but it wasn’t the first time.
“Obscure global events just felt more tangible than ever, and we were all finally able to have our say. Communication with pop stars and major companies was instantaneous, and stardom was diluted by the ability for strangers to become a viral sensation overnight.”
In an interview with Purple Sneakers last year, Dom Dolla said of his ambitions for 2024: “They say to never waste momentum, and I feel like I've got a good rhythm happening. It’s inspiring, because I'm always trying to beat myself, instead of competing against others.”
