More Ed Sheeran More Ed Sheeran

In a surprise update for Coachella punters, English pop star Ed Sheeran and American indie rockers Weezer have been added to this year’s line-up.

However, there’s a catch: neither act will perform on the main stage or at prime time, of, say, 7:30 or 9 pm. Both acts will perform on the smaller Mojave Stage at 3 pm, with Weezer set to play on the first Saturday (12 April) and Ed Sheeran on the second Saturday (19 April). Ed Sheeran and Weezer now appear on the Coachella timetable, which you can see below.

The pair have been added to the line-up following the departures of FKA twigs, Anitta, and Gel.

As Stereogum reports, English singer-songwriter FKA twigs was forced to pull out of Coachella and her other North American tour dates due to visa issues. Brazilian artist Anitta cancelled her performance at the festival due to “unexpected personal reasons,” and American hardcore band Gel recently broke up after their guitarist allegedly committed “heinous acts” that led to “irreparable damage” to the group.

Coachella 2025 will take place over two weekends: 11-13 April and 18-20 April. This year’s line-up is headlined by Lady Gaga, Green Day, and Post Malone, with Travis Scott billed as a special guest.

Aussies, including SPEED, Amyl And The Sniffers, Glass Beams, HAAi, and Parcels, feature on this year’s bill.
