Monopolising charts around the globe, Ed Sheerans new album Divide (÷) – which went double platinum in Australia upon release - has stormed the ARIA Charts, with a #1 debut rocketing a collection of new singles and older releases into the charts.

2014’s x and 2011’s + storm back into the top five and claim #3 and #4 respectively, with Adele 25 and 21 filling the gaps as she tours Australia.

Over on the Singles Chart, Shape Of You retains its #1 spot closely followed by Castle On The Hill (#2) while Dive, Perfect and Galway Girl chart in the top 10, How Would You Feel (Paean), Happier, Supermarket Flowers and New Man placing in the top 20 and singles What Do I Know?, Eraser, Hearts Don’t Break Around Here, Barcelona, Nancy Mulligan, Save Myself and Bibia Be Ye Y making the top 40.

The highest debut on the Singles Chart comes from the long-awaited new single from Lorde, Green Light, which managed to claim a #4 debut despite Sheeran-mania.

With nine singles in the UK Top 10, Sheeran’s ÷ sold 672,000 copies in the past week to make it the fastest-selling album by a male artist ever in the UK.

There’s a stack of local love in the ARIA Albums Chart too, as All Our Exes Live in Texas' When We Fall (#8) and Kingswood’s After Hours, Close To Dawn (#10) score top 10 debuts and Methyl Ethel’s Everything Is Forgotten lands at #16.
