After days of teasing by tour promoters Frontier Touring, the news is finally here: Ed Sheeran is returning to Australia and New Zealand in early 2026.
The Shape Of You star last played Down Under in 2023, bringing his Mathematics Tour to stadiums across the country – including performing to a record-breaking 109,500 punters at the MCG.
This time, Sheeran will once again return to stadiums (and Adelaide Oval). The tour begins with a run in New Zealand - Auckland’s GO Media Stadium on Friday, 16 January, Wellington’s Sky Stadium on Wednesday, 21 January, and Apollo Projects Stadium in Christchurch (his first show there in 11 years) on Saturday, 24 January.
Sheeran then heads to Australia, beginning at Perth’s Optus Stadium on Saturday, 31 January, followed by two nights at Sydney’s Accor Stadium (Friday, 13 and Saturday, 14 February), Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium (Friday, 20 and Saturday, 21 February), Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium (Thursday, 26 and Friday, 27 February), and concludes at Adelaide Oval on Thursday, 5 March.
Strict anti-scalping measures will be in place for this tour. For the Australian shows, Telstra Plus members can access pre-sale tickets from Friday, 25 July, at staggered timings – find more information on the Telstra website.
Frontier Members can access pre-sale tickets from Monday, 28 July, at staggered timings ahead of the general sale on Tuesday, 29 July, also at staggered timings. You can find more ticketing information on the Frontier Touring website.

The dates have been in the works for a while – back in May, Sheeran responded to a fan who asked about his tour plans for 2026, aside from the US. “Oz/NZ top of next year, then Latam, then USA,” he said.
Ed Sheeran is touring in support of his forthcoming album, Play, which will be released on Friday, 12 September. All seven of Sheeran’s studio albums have debuted at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart, with Play likely to continue this trend.
Play marks Sheeran’s return to “big pop.” However, he also explores new musical ground by joining forces with different producers and musicians, while finding inspiration in Indian and Persian musical cultures, and their surprising connections to the traditional Irish folk music of his childhood.
Despite returning to “big pop” music, Play was born from darkness as Sheeran embarked on a journey to create “joy and technicolour.”
