Could Ed Sheeran be planning another tour of Australia for 2026?
If a post from his private Instagram account is anything to go by, then we reckon there’s enough reason to get even slightly hyped.
Last year, Sheeran started a private Instagram account called Teddy’s Vinyl Breakfast, where he shares the music he and his daughter listen to each morning over breakfast. According to fans on Reddit, he gave fans 12 hours to follow the account before making it private.
While Sheeran shares what albums he and his daughter listen to, he also shares teasers surrounding new music and even tour plans, revealing the album of his forthcoming album, Play, before it was publicly announced. On this Instagram account, he teased a potential tour of Australia and New Zealand in 2026 this week.
The Ed Sheeran Brasil fan account shared a screenshot of the singer’s answer to a fan who asked what tour plans he has booked for 2026 aside from the US.
“Oz/NZ top of next year, then Latam, then USA,” Sheeran responded. You can see a screenshot of the post below.

If Ed Sheeran does return to Australia in 2026, it’ll mark his first visit in three years.
The Music has reached out to tour promoters Frontier Touring for comment.
This September, Ed Sheeran will release his new album, Play. Following his Mathematics album series and the folk stylings of 2023’s Autumn Variations, Play marks Sheeran’s return to “big pop.”
He also explores new musical ground by joining forces with different producers and musicians, while finding inspiration in Indian and Persian musical cultures, and their surprising connections to the traditional Irish folk music of his childhood.
Despite returning to “big pop” music, Play was born from darkness as Sheeran embarked on a journey to create “joy and technicolour.”
Reviewing Sheeran’s concert at Suncorp Stadium in February 2023, The Music’s Liv Dunford wrote: “No ordinary person would be able to hold the attention of an entire stadium with just a voice and a guitar, but Ed Sheeran is no ordinary person. Except that he is, in the way we all are, and that’s the magic of his music.
“Sheeran’s songs have made such an impact over the years because he invites us to be ordinary, to be human. He’s on a stage on his own, singing about life experiences, but what he’s really saying to us is, ‘Come and be human with me.’ And we do.”
