Let the bodies hit the floor, because Drowning Pool have been chosen as the replacement act for CKY to join Alien Ant Farm on their 2025 Australian tour.
Earlier this month, Alien Ant Farm booted CKY from their UK tour after CKY frontman Chad I Ginsburg allegedly punched Alien Ant Farm singer Dryden Mitchell in the face.
“Sadly, Chad from CKY hasn’t figured out how to cohabitate with others after all these years,” Mitchell wrote on Instagram in a since-deleted post. “They will no longer be on the Alien Ant Farm Tour through the rest of the UK shows after Chad punched me in the face earlier today.”
Alleging that Ginsburg had treated “multiple crew members and opening band members like trash” and “cause general drama around our camp,” Mitchell assured fans that they could obtain refunds if they were disappointed by the news.
He concluded the post, “Stay safe everybody. And Chad, Go To The Gym… After That, Find A Therapist, And Maybe In 25 Years… We Can Shake Hands. Until Then Though…. GET HELP, Love Dryden.”
In a post of his own (also deleted), Ginsburg said he had “NO choice and GOOD reason” for allegedly punching Mitchell in the face.

“UK CKY fans—get your money back!!” he began. “I had NO choice and GOOD reason for what happened. I will always defend myself—you know me much better than that!
“More info to come. Apologies to the fans.”
Following the incident, Australian promoters The Phoenix said they were looking at solutions or compromises to ensure the February 2025 tour could proceed.
In a new statement, the promoters said:
Due to recent events CKY will no longer be appearing on the ALIEN ANT FARM tour but we are delighted to announce the DROWNING POOL will appearing in their place. We are immensely grateful to DROWNING POOL for altering personal and professional schedules to join this tour as a co-headliner, helping us to not only maintain, but improve the value of the tickets for fans attending the shows.
