Sydney band DMA’S are returning to their home city next month for a one-off celebration, commemorating the tenth anniversary of their beloved debut album, Hills End.

The show will take place at the Metro Theatre on Friday, 27 March. During the show, the trio will perform Hills End in its entirety, including songs they’ve never performed live, plus a selection of fan-favourites from across their career.

Released in February 2016, Hills End introduced the world to DMA’S addictive, signature sound—a fusion of layered, dramatic guitar riffs with emotional, anthemic melodies. The record is home to career-defining tracks such as Delete, Lay Down, Too Soon, and Step Up The Morphine, immediately presenting as one of Australia’s most exciting new bands.

To mark the tenth anniversary of Hills End, the band will also release a tenth-anniversary record featuring the full album plus previously unreleased original demos. The album is available to pre-order here.

Pre-sale registration for the one-off show is now open. Pre-sale tickets will be available on Wednesday, 4 February, at 10 am AEDT, followed by the general sale on Thursday, 5 February, at 10 am AEDT. You can sign up for pre-sale tickets here.

As well as charting at #8 for a week in Australia, Hills End also made it to the charts in the UK and the Netherlands.

So far, DMA’S have followed Hills End with three albums: 2018’s For Now, 2020’s The Glow, and 2023’s HOW MANY DREAMS?, continuing their journey of receiving acclaim and commercial success at home and internationally.

Hills End marked the beginning of what was to come: sold-out tours across Australia, the UK, and Europe. Opening for Liam Gallagher. Scoring 13 tracks on the triple j Hottest 100, including #1 in triple j’s Hottest 100 countdown of Like A Version covers with their take on Cher’s Believe. Major festival appearances at Coachella, Lollapalooza, Splendour in the Grass, Glastonbury and Reading and Leeds. Their songs in film, TV, and advertising campaigns.

In a 2023 interview with The Music, DMA’S rhythm guitarist Johnny Took said the band had been “really lucky” with their trajectory “because the truth is, [vocalist] Tommy [O’Dell], me, and [lead guitarist] Matt [Mason] are friends; we're mates before we're band members. I think it's what's given DMA’S the longevity that we’ve had.”

The one-off celebration of Hills End promises fans a rare and unforgettable experience to celebrate a decade of DMA’S music and revisit the record that started it all, in the heart of Sydney.
