DeafheavenAmerican black metal trailblazers Deafheaven are returning to Australia and New Zealand this winter for their biggest tour in the region to date.
Touring in support of their latest album, 2025’s Lonely People With Power, Deafheaven will bring their brand of riff-heavy, explosive metal to renowned venues across Australia and New Zealand this July.
The tour begins in New Zealand, with the band performing at Wellington’s San Fran on Thursday, 2 July, and Auckland’s Powerstation on Friday, 3 July.
Then, the band head to Australia, hitting Perth’s The Rechabite on Sunday, 5 July, Adelaide’s The Gov on Wednesday, 8 July, Melbourne’s Forum on Thursday, 9 July, Sydney’s Liberty Hall on Friday, 10 July, Newcastle’s Hamilton Station on Saturday, 11 July, concluding the run at Brisbane’s Princess Theatre on Sunday, 12 July (as part of Brisbane’s Open Season program).
For this run of shows, Deafheaven will be joined by shoegaze pioneers Nothing and hardcore outfit SPY. It’s a triple bill of thrilling heavy music, and one that fans won’t want to miss.
Pre-sale tickets will be available from 9 am AEDT on Thursday, 26 March. The general sale goes live on Friday, 27 March, at 9 am local time. Head to the Destroy All Lines website for more details.

Lonely People With Power is the band’s sixth album and their first to be released via Roadrunner Records. With producer Justin Meldal-Johnsen (Beck, Nine Inch Nails, Wolf Alice) at the helm and features from guest vocalists Paul Banks (Interpol) and Jae Matthews (Boy Harsher), their brand of expansive metal has never sounded like this.
Deafheaven’s latest album showcases their rich evolution, capturing their inimitable ability to blend melody with brutality and mix pain with poetry. Throughout album six, the band ruminates on masculinity, generational trauma, family, and self-perception, ultimately coming to the conclusion that we cannot escape our past, but we can control how we move forward.
Lonely People With Power is Deafheaven’s most human musical statement, confronting isolation while seeking connection, growth, and the redefinition of one’s destiny. It grows ever more powerful with each listen.
