'Wrong. Just wrong.'

More Guns N' Roses More Guns N' Roses

After Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose was spotted leaving the same studio as Aussie legends AC/DC last week, the rumour mill has gone into overdrive as to whether the veteran singer really will be fronting the band for a string of US dates later this year.

Whether people love it or hate it, fans and fellow musicians around the world seem to have an opinion on it, but here are some of the biggest and best ones that have come out in recent days.

jesse hughes

The Eagles Of Death Metal frontman didn't just have a big night in Fremantle on Wednesday night because he proposed to his girlfriend on stage in front of the crowd and his fellow band members, but he used the opportunity on stage to let the audience know how he felt about the idea of Rose joining AC/DC.

As Yahoo 7! reports, Hughes asked the crowd, "How the fuck is Axl Rose going to sing with AC/DC?

"There’s no way he’s going to walk on stage without being hit with bricks."

The bad blood between the two singers isn't surprising, given that EODM were booted from supporting GNR on a 2006 tour personally by Rose.

ross malcolm young

The son of AC/DC Malcolm Young and nephew of Angus Young, reportedly shared an article about the rumoured news on his Facebook page earlier this week.

According to Alternative Nation, when someone suggested that Young was opening a "can of worms", he responded, "It's true".

Another criticised the decision to recruit Rose to which Young allegedly replied, "He can and he will".

The post was later deleted.

Currently in Australia in support of Bluesfest and a few headline dates, the Oasis singer's opinion didn't surprise many during a chat with Triple M's Matty Johns, saying the idea is "wrong".

When pressed further about what he would do if his brother, Liam Gallagher, asked to join the High Flying Birds, the 48-year-old was even more blunt.

"What would I say to him? I'd say 'behave yourself, mate."

While many have been critical of the idea of Rose belting out Thunderstruck, The Replacements bassist and recently-departed Guns N' Roses band member Tommy Stinson may have let the cat out of the bag by congratulating Rose in an Instagram post.

Stinson's post reads, "And the biggest balls in rock award goes to.....atta boy!!!

"Go show the kids how it's done!"

Stinson joined the band in 1998 before leaving the group earlier this year.

The US comedian may indeed have been the one to spark the controversy surrounding AC/DC's Brian Johnson, by suggesting on a podcast that he was dumped from the band after announcing he was forced to cease touring duties

After calming the waters, Breuer has gotten back to what he does best — making people laugh.

In the last few days the comic has uploaded a number of videos of himself impersonating famous musicians auditioning for the AC/DC lead gig.
