The beloved Brunswick Music Festival has announced its return for 2025, announcing its impressive program today.
Running from March 2nd – 10th next year, the Brunswick Music Festival will launch with the annual Sydney Road Street Party before jumping right into 40 gigs over nine days in Melbourne’s live music capital.
This year's lineup is set to be an impressive collection of local and international talent, as evidenced by two huge nights scheduled for Gilpin Park. Launching with a co-headline performance by Miss Kaninna and Elsy Wameyo on Friday, March 7th, US hip hop royalty Bahamadia will team up with Kaiit the following night.
Brunswick Uniting Church will also be getting into the action thanks to the unexpected one-off AT THE ALTAR OF US; an intimate showcase full of exceptional queer talent, featuring names such as Ruby Gill, Porpoise Spit, and Merpire.
Elsewhere, Puerto Rico’s Pachyman will bring the dub to Howler, as will Balinese gamelan orchestra Gamelan DanAnda when they join forces with electro-jazz-fusion group Firetail. Meanwhile, Brunswick Ballroom will host an intimate evening with US Americana trio Bonny Light Horseman, alongside a number of other amazing names.

That’s not all though, because alongside there’s also set to be special programming going down at beloved venues such as Jazz Lab, The Bergy Seltzer, Quad Club, Shell Space, Tempo Rubato, The Penny Black, Brunswick Mechanics Institute, and Rubix.

"With a diverse program showcasing both local and international talent, the festival strengthens Brunswick's reputation as a destination for live music, enriches our local community and attracts visitors,” Davidson added. “We are proud to be delivering Brunswick Music Festival for the 37th time in 2025 and encourage everyone to come along for 9 days of wonderful live music."
A second lineup announcement is due to arrive in January, while full current lineup and ticketing details are available via the Brunswick Music Festival website.
