Some of you have waited decades for this
Seminal Scottish alt rock act Big Country has announced that decades on from their inception, they'll be heading down under this year for their first ever Australian tour.
Their last Australian tour way back in 1986 was cancelled, but this time the '80s act will be heading out on a Greatest Hits run — taking in their biggest tracks from all across their 10-record catalogue as well as the big 'uns like In A Big Country, Wonderland and Look Away — to six shows this June, kicking off in New Zealand.
The veteran band will be bringing their current line-up on the road, consisting of Bruce Watson on vocals/guitar/mandolin/sitar, Jamie Watson on guitar, Simon Houghthe on vocals/guitar/harmonica and Mark Brzezicki behind the kit, in the advent of co-founder and original lead vocalist Stuart Adamson's death in 2001.
With VIP packages available at all shows, the tour kicks off in Brisbane on 14 June, before heading to Melbourne on 15 June, Adelaide on 16 June, Sydney on 17 June and Perth on 18 June.
