Another year, another season of Australian Idol coming to an end.
Last night (13 April), the remaining, final three contestants performed solo and with iconic homegrown singers before tonight’s Grand Finale results show. Tonight’s show will still have the final three perform before the live audience – and viewers across the country – as well as a special guest performer.
As this year’s season of Australian Idol draws to a close, The Music has gathered the information you need to know ahead of tonight’s results show.
HOW TO WATCH
Viewers can tune in for tonight’s Grand Finale results show on Seven and 7plus. The show will start at 7:30 pm AEST and end at approximately 9:15 pm.
The winner will be revealed during the episode, likely towards the end. However, one contestant will be eliminated early in the program, leaving the competition to two singers.
FINAL CONTESTANTS
Three young singers have made it to the end of this year’s competition: 18-year-old Harlan Goode from Brisbane, 21-year-old Kesha Oayda from Jindabyne, NSW, and 23-year-old Kalani Artis from the Central Coast, NSW.
Last night, the trio showcased their growth. In solo performances, Artis put his own spin on David Bowie’s Heroes, Goode turned Irene Cara’s Fame into a power ballad, and Oayda’s vocal prowess was spotlighted in a rendition of Adele’s When We Were Young. Then, they united with Aussie stars for unforgettable duets.

Artis joined forces with Pete Murray for a soulful take on Better Days. During the episode, Murray remarked that the up-and-coming singer was “the real deal, there’s a big future for you.”
Meanwhile, Oayda was accompanied by vocal powerhouse Vanessa Amorosi, delivering a rendition of Shine.
Describing Amorosi as the “coolest person ever,” Oayda said of the experience, “I was so enraptured with your voice. She’s the coolest person ever. I just had the best time of my life.”
Goode then teamed up with Anthony Callea for a performance of The Prayer, which brought the place down.
Callea joked that his duet partner wasn’t even born when he first performed the classic on the Idol stage, adding that it was “a privilege to sing the song again and an honour to share the stage with Harlan.”
THE WINNER’S PRIZE
Previous seasons of Australian singing shows have resulted in winning singers scoring a record deal with a major label, but that’s no longer the grand prize on Idol.
The winner of the 2026 season of Australian Idol will receive $100,000 in prize money, but that’s not all. They’ll also take home an exclusive recording package with Hive Sound Studios, attend a songwriting camp with Sony Music Publishing, marketing and social media support from The Annex, and VIP tickets to events such as this year’s ARIA Awards and the TV WEEK Logie Awards.
