Brisbane emo quartet Arrows have announced they'll be disbanding this year after two final shows.
The group, formed in 2006, revealed yesterday that their hometown show tomorrow night at Crowbar with Perth's The Leap Year, Seahorse Divorce and Make More will be their "second last". The announcement has seen an outpouring of public sorrow from fans and musicians alike, highlighting the band's near-universal adoration throughout Australia's punk community.
The band's touring and creative output has been increasingly sporadic over the past few years, playing only a handful of shows over the past 12 months. Their last studio album was 2010 sophomore effort 'Try and Stay Upright', also releasing a split 7" with US act Empire! Empire! (I Was a Lonely Estate) back in 2012.
The band's final show will take place Saturday, April 5 at Crowbar as part of the just-announced Hobble Day 2014, also featuring Jamie Hay, Ceres and We Set Sail.
