Aretha Franklin's Legacy Honoured In This Week's ARIA Charts

The country pays their respects.

The music of late soul icon Aretha Franklin has surged back onto the ARIA charts following the singer's passing last week as a reminder of the extraordinary influence the Queen Of Soul's music had. 

While Ariana Grande has expectedly taken out top spot on the Albums chart with Sweetener, eight Franklin albums have re-entered the top 25: The Very Best Of Aretha Franklin Volume 1 — The '60s (#13), 30 Greatest Hits (#16), Together — The Very Best Of Aretha Franklin & Otis Redding (#19), The Queen Of Soul: The Atlantic Recordings (#17), Original Album Series (#22), Best Of Aretha Franklin (#25), A Brand New Me: Aretha Franklin (With The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra) (#23) and Respect — The Very Best Of (#20).

Aussie legend Jimmy Barnes has come in with a top three debut on the Albums chart with Working Class Boy — The Soundtracks, with Human Nature coming in at number two with their new LP, Romance Of The Jukebox

Other debuts this week include Travis CollinsBrave & The Broken (#15).

Back over to the Singles chart, Sydney artist Dean Lewis has held on to #1 spot with Be Alright, with Benny Blanco's Eastside, featuring Khalid and Halsey, hot on his heels at #2.

Grande's tracks, God Is A Woman and Breathin, debuted at #7 and #8 respectively, while two other songs from the pop artist appeared in the top 40: No Tears Left To Cry (#21) and Everytime (#36).
