EvanescenceIt seems that US rockers Evanescence are planning to tour Australia soon.
The band have a new album coming soon, and according to Australian merchandise company Merch Jungle, local pre-orders of the album could put Australian and New Zealand fans in the running to take home tickets to an upcoming, yet-to-be-announced tour.
The Rock N Metal News Australia page on Facebook was the first to catch on to the teaser. Evanescence’s new album, Sanctuary, is set for release on Friday, 5 June, and this is the notice fans have come across when going to pre-order the record from Merch Jungle:

At the time of publication, the band hasn’t teased or announced tour dates for Australia and New Zealand. However, they recently announced a one-off date in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Saturday, 28 November, with a month of no shows between that date and the October shows, and no dates following that date.
So, fans can expect Evanescence in Australia and New Zealand in November or December if they plan on heading Down Under this year.

Evanescence visited Australia and New Zealand late last year, when they opened stadium shows for Metallica. They also played a handful of rare, intimate headline shows in Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth.
Before then, Evanescence last toured Australia in August 2023, celebrating 20 years of their seminal debut album, Fallen.

Reviewing their show at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena, The Music’s Michael Prebeg remarked, “Evanescence showcases their incredible musical talent and emotional depth, delivering a powerful and unforgettable performance that proves just why they’re still one of the most influential rock groups two decades on from their debut.”
Elsewhere in the review, Prebeg commented that the band “maintained momentum” with a setlist that highlighted old favourites, new tracks, and even some B-sides for the die-hard fans in the room.
