American rockers Evanescence are already heading to Australia this November, as they’re the special guests for Metallica’s upcoming M72 dates Down Under alongside Suicidal Tendencies.
Now, fans who weren’t planning on seeing them at stadiums, or those who’d like to see them twice this year, have their chance. Evanescence have just announced three intimate shows to go with their dates opening for Metallica in stadiums across the country.
The band will perform at Perth’s Metro City on Thursday, 30 October, followed by Melbourne’s 170 Russell on Friday, 7 November, and Sydney’s Metro Theatre on Friday, 14 November.
Fans can access pre-sale tickets on Thursday, 11 September, at 10 am local time – you can register for access to those tickets here. The general sale opens on Friday, 12 September, at 10 am local time via the Destroy All Lines website.
Evanescence last toured Australia in August 2023, celebrating 20 years of their seminal debut album, Fallen.
Reviewing their show at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena, The Music’s Michael Prebeg remarked, “Evanescence showcases their incredible musical talent and emotional depth, delivering a powerful and unforgettable performance that proves just why they’re still one of the most influential rock groups two decades on from their debut.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Prebeg commented that the band “maintained momentum” with a setlist that highlighted old favourites, new tracks, and even some B-sides for the die-hard fans in the room.
Singer Amy Lee recently made headlines, after she teamed up with alt-metal star Poppy and Spiritbox vocalist Courtney LaPlante for the epic collaborative single, End Of You.
Lee told NME about the song, “For me, it’s about taking on the patriarchy. In order to make way for the new, we have to let some old ways die, and I don’t feel that should be as hard as it is. I love change, and things can stand to definitely get a lot better than they are right now. It’s about challenging the norms and showing how strong we are when unified as women.”
