More Evanescence More Evanescence

Metal corners of the internet crashed this week, when an image of Evanescence singer Amy Lee, Spiritbox vocalist Courtney LaPlante, and solo artist Poppy appeared on social media.

The three “collaborated” on the post shared on social media, and while there was no caption, it was safe to assume that the trio were planning a ground-breaking collaboration.

At approximately 2 am today, the trio continued teasing with individual black-and-white video teasers, highlighting each member as a piano melody played in the background, harmonising to sing what seems to be the song title, End Of You.

You can check out the teasers below.

At the time of publication, not much has been revealed about the collaboration. However, former Bring Me The Horizon keyboardist, vocalist, and producer Jordan Fish commented on the image—as did the trio’s respective record labels—indicating his involvement.

Fish being involved in the production of the single isn’t all that surprising, as he produced Poppy’s 2024 album, Negative Spaces, which also happened to present her heaviest songs to date. Fish then performed in her live band, including in Australia earlier this year when she opened for Bad Omens along the East Coast.

Amy Lee has worked with Jordan Fish, too, on the collaborative track Hand That Feeds, where she shared vocals with alternative artist Halsey for the film soundtrack of From the World of John Wick: Ballerina.

Plus, in December, Spiritbox denied rumours that Fish had produced their new album, Tsunami Sea, released earlier this year, but admitted that they’d “love” to work with him.

Stay tuned for more updates—we expect the single to land before we know it.

This November, Evanescence will return to Australia, supporting Metallica on their M72 stadium tour across the country. They’re not the only special guests; punk rockers Suicidal Tendencies will open the show.

Meanwhile, Spiritbox made their Australian debut at the inaugural Knotfest Australia in March 2023, as well as a one-off headline show at Melbourne’s Forum Theatre.

Reviewing said show at the Forum, The Music’s Rod Whitfield wrote, “Spiritbox’s set tonight is a one-hour and fifteen-minute celebration of new-school heavy music, an extravaganza of heaviness, melody, atmospherics and subtle but effective electronica.”
