American alternative singer-songwriter Halsey has made one of her childhood dreams come true, teaming up with Evanescence’s Amy Lee for a new collaboration.
The song is called Hand That Feeds and will appear in the forthcoming movie, From The World Of John Wick: Ballerina.
The film stars Ana De Armas in the lead role, with Gabriel Byrne and Norman Reedus locked in as supporting roles. Actors including Keanu Reeves, Anjelica Huston, Ian McShane, and Lance Reddick (in his final screen appearance) reprise their roles for the spin-off film.
In a teaser sent to fans ahead of their For My Last Trick Tour, which begins in California this weekend, Halsey is heard harmonising with Lee over a haunting piano and atmospherics.
The song was recorded after it was announced that Evanescence and Mexican rock band The Warning would open for Halsey at the Hollywood Bowl on Wednesday, 14 May.
Amy Lee said of the forthcoming duet, “So thrilled to bring you a new song, Hand That Feeds with @halsey THIS FRIDAY! We’ve been fans of each other’s work for a long time and it really feels like the universe pulled us together for this moment.

“We already had the Hollywood Bowl show in place when @Lionsgate invited us to work on a song for the @ballerinamovie together, and it's finally time to serve it UP! Cannot wait for you all to hear!!”
You can check out the teaser below ahead of the song’s release this Friday (9 May).
In another full-circle moment, the song arrives after Halsey revealed Lee’s influence on their artistry last year.
In the lead-up to her latest album, The Greatest Impersonator, Halsey shared photos of herself impersonating her heroes, from David Bowie to Dolly Parton to Amy Lee. Their song, Lonely Is The Muse, is a dark rock song inspired by her “OG dark rock queen.” Halsey shared a photo from their childhood wearing an Evanescence t-shirt for the same post.
The Great Impersonator is the follow-up to Halsey’s 2021 album, If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power, produced by Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.
Meanwhile, Evanescence toured Australia in August 2023 and will return when they open for Metallica in stadiums this November.
