Exciting news for Amyl And The Sniffers fans who enjoy all kinds of physical media: the Aussie punk rockers will launch a limited-edition tour photo book next week.
The book is called Carnies and captures the band on their November 2024 tour in Europe, Ireland, and the UK in support of their latest album, Cartoon Darkness.
Carnies will contain 470 A5 pages of photography from the tour, taken by the band’s collaborator, John Angus Stewart.
The book will go on sale on Monday, 7 April—or Tuesday at midnight AEST for Aussie fans—via the band’s official web stores. As the band has cultivated quite an international following, they’ve informed fans that the book will be available at 3 pm BST, 10 am New York time, and 7 am Los Angeles time on Monday.
Carnies will be released as a limited pressing. In addition to being available online, a small number of photo books will be on the merch desk on the band’s current tour of the US.
Amyl And The Sniffers’ Cartoon Darkness journey has been filled with twists and turns. The band is set to appear at Glastonbury this June, was shortlisted for last year’s Australian Music Prize, nominated for J Awards, and embarked on a massive, sold-out Australian tour.

The band made headlines with said tour after capping ticket prices to each show at $75—even playing at large venues like Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl and Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion. Amyl And The Sniffers’ management told The Music it’s “always the instinct” of the band to keep ticket prices affordable.
