‘I Have To Go Rogue Every Single Time’: Peach PRC Reflects On The Past As She Steps Into Her New Era

ABBA Are Launching A Vague-As-Hell New Virtual Reality Experience

"Fans around the world are always asking us to reform and so I hope this new ABBA creation will excite them as much as it excites me!"

More ABBA ABBA

Swedish pop icons ABBA are banding together with Idol franchise creator Simon Fuller and Universal Music Group to launch a brand new ABBA digital experience, reportedly utilising "the very latest in digital and virtual reality technology".

The new digital experience remains largely vague at present moment, with no real details on how digital and VR technology will be used and in what capacity for the quartet. The venture aims for fans to "see, hear and feel ABBA in a way previously unimagined".

Will we see ABBA holograms, dancing and singing alongside the four ABBA members themselves? Will VR headsets allow us to wander through the Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia and Super Trouper music videos? Will we be able to experience ABBA at a festival during their peak in the '70s?

Though the ABBA members have denied any chance of a reunion, Benny Andersson, Frida Lyngstad, Bjorn Ulvaeus and Agnetha Faltskog will reportedly all be involved in the new venture's creative process.

Andersson says, "We’re inspired by the limitless possibilities of what the future holds and are loving being a part of creating something new and dramatic here. A time machine that captures the essence of who we were. And are."

Lyngstad adds, "Our fans around the world are always asking us to reform and so I hope this new ABBA creation will excite them as much as it excites me!"

Fuller, who executive-produced shows like So You Think You Can Dance and managed Spice Girls, says, "The creativity and ideas flowing from the members of ABBA over the past few months have filled me with great excitement.

"We are exploring a new technological world, with Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence at the forefront, that will allow us to create new forms of entertainment and content we couldn’t have previously imagined."
