Sydney's newest music venue wants to break some Australian records.
Musicians and performers will attempt to break an Australian music record at the King Street Brewhouse with a non-stop 40 hour music festival this November.
The event, appropriately titled The 40 Hour Music Marathon, will see a range of acts perform back to back to raise money for World Vision Australia, embracing genres such as pop, jazz, reggae, world music, R'n'B, rock and indie.
Festival Organisers hope to see 1,500 patrons walk through the Brewhouse doors over the event's weekend, providing attendees with great food and drink throughout the 40 hours of live music, in an attempt to make Australian history for the longest music festival ever.
A live stream of the marathon will also be set up on the event's website, so music lovers at home can tune in and discuss the music on show.
