Video: Lisa Mitchell - Wah-Ha + BTS Photo Exclusive
Watch Lisa Mitchell be pretty and charming on holiday in the snow.. Lisa Mitchell’s latest track Wah-Ha was written on the back of a shopping receipt while on a holiday. She's just released a dreamy little video to accompany it, and it came about in equally as casual a way: Mitchell and her mate Kirrilee went up to the snow in Falls Creek and stayed in an eccentric lodge filled with stuffed dead animals and “possibly the largest collection of Christmas-themed Austrian souvenirs in Australia”, tells Mitchell in her video description. There, the two messed around filming each other, as you do on holidays. However, watching the footage later, Lisa found the combination of intensely blue skies, heavenly light and alpine wilderness looked pretty damn fine on film; and would make the perfect accompaniment to her new track: a chilled, lush folk number whose depths we first fell into back in September. Seeing as though the delicacy in Lisa's voice is akin to that of a snowflake, the clip's loc

Dungeons & Dragons Dance Party
Raw visuals from Melbourne DIY dance party bizarros Zanzibar Chanel.. Melbourne DIY dance party bizarros Zanzibar Chanel are an act that come along once in one’s clubbing lifetime. Their super-weird greatness is hard to describe but their esoteric house certainly stands out a mile in a sometimes bleak nightclub landscape of mediocre house, uncreative electronica and grating trap. Baba-X (who does brilliant solo stuff, too) makes groove-laden hi-fi beats, while part-time diva, full-time dead set legend Zac Segbedzi sings and raps over them and is a delight in a live situation, a big fella, he often goes bare-chested, and sometimes dons a balaclava and nipple tassles. Oh yes. They’ve played in Perth a couple of times and both times the party situation got very, very sweaty. They’ve just released a raw-as-fuck video feat. "Dungeon Master Posse" (who I think is just ZC in alter ego form?) for their new track Mustn't Evolve, from their Drunk at the Jazz Club EP (released in September), whi

Video - Rustie feat. Redinho - Lost
Plantlife, light-beams and topless women. Nailed it, Rustie.. That devilish wee Scot rave-maker Rustie (whose about to tour the US taking in dates with Danny Brown and Oneohtrix Point Never, the lucky lad) brought buzzing producer Redinho onboard for his track Lost, his second single from the brilliant Green Language. Director Adam Hummel’s just turned out this video clip for the track, which he describes as: “the real-world, physical iteration of his 3D video work for Rustie’s new AV live show.”  The clip depicts a bunch of intersecting illuminated light sculptures, that flash on and off in time to the robotic but heartfelt lyrics (“I’d…be…lost…with..out…you..”), interspersed with plantlife and subtle hints and shadowy silhoutttes of topless, tattooed women. It’s the perfect visual accompaniment for the soulful ambience of the track:  Rustie’s headed our way for dates around the country at Laneway Festival next year. Green Language is available now on Warp.

Big things are coming for a humble and super-talented dude, you can stream the lead single from Tails - Someone below (a track we

Introducing: Leisure Suite
Get to know the exciting Melbourne trio ahead of their EP launch this weekend.. Currently riding a wave of hype since the release of their debut self-titled EP, Melbourne trio Leisure Suite are gearing up for the launch of said four-tracker this weekend at Melbourne's Boney, with a few friends in tow. Click on the tour poster below our chat with Bridgette Le from the group to head to the Facebook event. Tell us about about yourselves:  We’re Leisure Suite, a three-piece electronic act from Melbourne. What kinda tunes we talkin’? Down-tempo electronic with a wee bit of soul. Production/writing process: We usually start with the sounds first; so a specific synth, guitar tone or drum beat, which will immediately trigger the mood of the song for me. From there onwards, it’s a process of improvisation where the first words and melodies that come to mind are then written down and recorded. What do you guys do outside of Leisure Suite? We’re usually scoping out good burger joints and general
