Few could have foreseen the jaw-dropping impact 3OH!3 would have on the mainstream charts in 2009, however the tongue in cheek twosome’s blend of instantly addictive hooks and powerful beats struck a worldwide chord with adoring fans and cross-armed critics alike. Debut single “Don’t Trust Me” saw the duo land a Video Music Awards nomination alongside fellow chart-toppers Lady Gaga, Kid Cudi and Drake, while the Katy Perry assisted follow-up “Starstrukk” cemented 3OH!3’s place at the upper end of the pop pecking order. After over a year of hibernation, Sydney thrash/punk, Snake Face have reunited and become active once again.  The Sydney five-piece went on hiatus following vocallist, Dean's departure to Queensland in 2009.  The group have now come back in the follow up to their 5-track demo released in 2009, awaiting the release of their forthcoming 14-track full length which was recorded in early 2010.  The band break their hiatus this Sunday 4th July at Annandale's Blackwire Records with Fistmouth, Legions, Helta Skelta and Ether Rag.   http://www.myspace.com/snakefacehc

After twenty years of touring and releasing records with Pennywise, Jim Lindberg has started a new band straight out of Hermosa Beach. The Black Pacific is a brand new band with a fresh line up and an album filled with ten powerful and heartfelt songs. Jim and the guys will be playing their first show on September 26 at KROQ’s Epicenter Twenty Ten festival in Fontana, CA. Their self titled debut album hits on September 14 on SideOneDummy Records. Jim left Pennywise in 2009 and has been working on The Black Pacific ever since. He also penned a book in 2007 called Punk Rock Dad: No Rules, Just Real Life.
