Veteran post-hardcore band Silverstein have announced that they will be releasing their song 'Brookfield' as a free download to their fans. The song will be featured on their upcoming album, 'Short Songs', which experiments with sounds sourced from 80's and 90's punk and hardcore.

  Dead Ending, a new project from Derek Grant (Alkaline Trio), Joe Principe (Rise Against), Vic Bondi (Articles of Faith) and Jeff Dean (The Bomb, Noise By Numbers) are wrapping up work on their debut EP and are also gearing to demo fourteen other new songs according to this update: "Our debut E.P. is being mastered this week. Killswitch Engage has updated their website with the photo to the right, hinting that original vocalist Jesse Leach has rejoined the band, replacing Howard Jones. We'll keep you updated as more details emerge. Leach originally sang for Killswitch Engage from 1999-2002, performing on their first two albums: 2000's self-titled effort and 2002's Alive Or Just Breathing.

The Word Alive have released a statement about the recent lineup changes they have faced. The statement addresses the departure of keyboardist Dusty Riach and drummer Justin Salinas, who the band says have left "on the best terms possible".
