Death By Stereo sign with Viking Funeral Records
Orange County, CA hardcore punk veterans Death By Stereo have announced they have signed with Viking Funeral Records, the label founded by Pennywise guitarist Fletcher Dragge, Ken Seaton of Hardline Entertainment, and Suburban Noize Records. Death By Stereo's sixth full-length studio album, "Black Sheep of the American Dream," is set for a spring 2012 release. "I am personally proud to be a part of Viking Funeral because Fletcher, Ken Seaton and the whole Suburban Noize family have the same DIY, never back down mentality that we have. Viking Funeral is a perfect home for us, as we've seen how labels work and the majority of them are more interested in making a quick buck instead of developing an artist that puts out great records," commented Efrem Schulz from Death By Stereo. My Chemical Romance building studio
As part of preparing for their impending fifth studio album, My Chemical Romance have decided on building their own recording space. "Back in L.A. we just got a studio so we’re kind of building that out and basically trying to make a compound where we can be creative and be there whenever we want to be,” guitarist Ray Toro told Noise11.com. “That’s the tough thing doing records in a cycle and you have three or four months where you have to write and record a record and sometimes that’s tough. You can take longer, but you always feel like there’s something over your head like a time constraint and now we’ll have our own place where we can go and make music 24 hours a day.
