It’s punchy, it’s catchy. This EP is a great representation of the amazing women who wrote it. Honestly stop looking at them as a girl band and just respect them for the powerhouse musicians they are. I love the statement they make with the title ‘Pretty Good For A Girl Band’ but long for a world where they don’t have to justify that.

In horrificly tragic news this morning, The Black Dahlia Murder frontman Trevor Strnad has died. Kill Your Stereo, The Music and The Faction all send love and thoughts to Strnad's family, friends and bandmates.

Overall this record is a huge sonic step up for the band. Every track slaps super hard. There is NO chill moments its just smacking you with bangers from start to finish. Old fans and yet to be made fan's will be talking about this one for a while!

If you've never checked out the band Polyphia, go watch the tracks/clips on their Youtube channel and come back. Tell me you haven't wanted to just put down your instrument and never touch it again, cos chances are you'll never hit that level of technical proficiency and musicality. Still.... CRACKING tunes and chops. Mesmerising to watch and hear. Cop this new one, it's called Playing God.

There is just a breed of heavy band out there who bring the party. They aren't serious at all, they take the piss out of all sorts of things, not least of which is usually heavy music culture itself. It's Party tunes for people who like their music heavy AF, their humour dark and their beer cold and FLOWING. Brojob, Electric Callboy, Berried Alive, Austrian Death Machine, the list keeps on going. I just came across Party Cannon from Scotland. It's a time.

Sunk Loto are one of those Australian bands lost to the sands of time, but hot damn there was a minute there where they really dominated in the heavy scene - and there is an incredible amount of people wishing and willing them back into existence. Today, they're starting to change their social media profiles etc's profile pictures, and... could this be it? Could this be perhaps a tour or live show? New Music? Sunk Loto, we need answers!

Albury-based non-binary artist Jay Groenveld launched new project Rain Maiden last month. The debut track was a cracking track called MANIC. It's excellent and we wanted you to know more about the artist, so Alex Callan had a chat!

Thank you Destroy All Lines for such an epic evening. The venue was awesome, the place was packed, there were no clashes, the vibes were high & it was so much fun. It's great to see a one-off mini-festival like this do so well & I hope we see more events like this in the future!

Babirusa and Analepsy. With names like these, this ain't a pop-rock tour. It's possibly the most deathcore tour ever. Brutality and technical proficiency rolled in to one, with Babirusa rolling out their Mandatory Malevolence single on June 3.
