Geese Announce 2027 Australian Tour

Gesse return to Australia in 2027 for a series of headline performances, including at Golden Plains festival, following their epic debut earlier this year.

A week after it was announced that American rockers Geese would lead the line-up for next year’s Golden Plains Festival alongside Underworld, they’ve announced a highly anticipated headline tour.

The Brooklyn four-piece return to Australia and New Zealand in early 2027 after a whirlwind year promoting their breakthrough record, Getting Killed. Presented by Handsome Tours and Laneway Presents, the fun begins at Auckland’s Te Paepae Theatre, NZICC on Thursday, 25 February.

It continues with a run of East Coast Australian dates, taking place during Brisbane’s On The Banks series at QPAC, South Bank on Saturday, 27 February, the Sydney Opera House Forecourt on Tuesday, 2 March, Melbourne’s Palace Foreshore on Friday, 5 March, and concludes at Golden Plains, Meredith, on Sunday, 7 March.

Sydney Opera House Insiders and QPAC members can access pre-sale tickets from 9 am local time on Tuesday, 27 October. The Geese, Sydney Opera House What’s On, and QPAC Venue pre-sales follow the next day, Wednesday, 28 October, at 9 am local time.

Geese made their Australian headline debut in February, earning a rapturous response from fans and drawing huge buzz for their sets at Laneway Festival. Their most recent album, Getting Killed, was released last September through Partisan Records / Play It Again Sam, and it’s the reason behind their momentous breakthrough.

Reviewing their show at Sydney’s Metro Theatre in February, The Music’s Alasdair Belling declared, “What is clear right now is that Geese is Gen Z’s first great rock band, pushing the genre forward and performing at a standard that leaves its much older and more experienced peers looking almost pathetic by comparison.

“Geese is the story of guitar music right now, and 1200 Sydney-siders were lucky enough to see it up close. It’s unlikely they’ll get a vantage point like this ever again.”
