Underworld ProfileGolden Plains turns 19 in March 2027, and to celebrate the milestone, it’s presenting a line-up of legends, buzzed-about indie acts, and rising stars.
Leading the line-up announcement for next year’s festival are American rockers Geese, making their debut at the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre, and electronic music pioneers Underworld.
They’re joined by “the weirdest party band on the planet” Angine de Poitrine, as well as Yorta Yorta, Dja Dja Wurrung, Kalkadoon and Yirendali emcee Miss Kaninna, hypnotic rockers Tinariwen, the beloved Peter Garrett & The Alter Egos, synth pop duo Haute & Freddy, Manchester band Westside Cowboy, and more.
And Miss Kaninna isn’t the only rising star from Australia having an epic year and heading to Meredith next year; electronic artist daine, post-punk band Station Model Violence, ‘Afrodelik’ music act Immy Owusu, and four-piece indie rockers Swapmeet all feature on the bill.

Golden Plains takes over the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre in Meredith, Victoria on the Labour Day long weekend: from Saturday, 6 to Monday, 8 March.
The best way to score tickets is through the festival’s ballot system. The second round of the ballot is now open until 10:19 pm AEDT on Monday, 19 October – enter here.
Golden Plains introduced the ballot in 2007 to distribute tickets to the festival in an “equitable and stress-free manner.” Subscribers who enter the ballot get “first crack” at tickets when they're released.
What does a Golden Plains ticket get you? Organisers put it best:
Everyone flies gold class, for two days and two nights.
A ticket includes all parking, camping, booking fees, BYO convenience, and spins on The Eye. Golden Plains is an independent endeavour, with zero commercial sponsors, one stage, the No Dickheads Policy, an outdoor cinema and minimal hassles.
And the festival site is “purpose-built for serious fun.”
