House Vs Hurricane announce Western Australian dates
As promised, House Vs Hurricane have announced WA dates - their first in nearly 18 months. The dates will come off the back of the release of their second album Crooked Teeth, which hits shelves via UNFD on July 13. The album sees the launch of new vocalist Dan Casey and was produced and mixed in New Jersey earlier this year by Machine [The Amity Affliction, Lamb Of God]. First single, Blood Knuckles, has been getting spins on Triple J, and has become a YouTube hit with its self-produced music video. It is currently sitting at #1 on the iTunes Metal Charts, where is has stayed since its release. House Vs Hurricane played their return shows in Sydney and Melbourne this past week, selling 1500 tickets across both shows and getting a huge reception from crowds. Arsis recording new album
Virginia-based melodic tech-death metal masters, Arsis, started tracking drums for their fifth full-length release on June 7th with new drummer/longtime session member, Shawn Priest. The album is being tracked at Audiohammer Studios in FL with producer Mark Lewis (The Black Dahlia Murder, Whitechapel, Deicide). The follow up to their 2010 release Starve For The Devil is tentatively scheduled for Fall 2012 release via Nuclear Blast Records. "I am so pleased with the way this album is coming together," commented founding guitarist and vocalist James Malone. "I know we all have put ourselves into this recording and I am sure this will be reflected in the end product. Noah and I did more pre-production for the album than any other Arsis recording, Now, I just have to remember all the parts I tracked for the demos."
