Alt-rock band VersaEmerge are streaming new song "Burn."

Respected Christian metallers Norma Jean will make their long-awaited return to our shores next year, with the band affirming they will tour down under.

Converge are streaming a new song titled Shame In The Way. The track comes from the bands upcoming full-length, 'All We Love We Leave Behind,' which is due out October 9 via Epitaph.

Blink 182 will play Soundwave sideshows in Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne next year. According to Fasterlouder, Triple M broke the news and dates this morning. Festival boss AJ Maddah says that tickets to these shows will go on sale this Friday and will be priced “between $95 and $110”. The venue for these shows will also be revealed Friday. Blink 182, one of the Soundwave 2013 headliners, are also rumoured to be working on new material. Heroes For Hire have launched a stream of their new album onto the Halfcut Records Facebook page. The album is titled "No Apologies", and is set to be released on September 28 through Halfcut. The band recorded the new album with New Found Glory guitarist Steve Klein (Man Overboard).

Melbourne hardcore band Warbrain have announced that they are currently in the studio recording their debut album. The band announced the news via the following post on their Tumblr page: "Depending on where you follow Warbrain on the Internet, you may or may not have noticed that we have been in the studio over the last few days recording some drum tracks… If you thought that meant we might be recording an album, you would be correct. We have been locked down in the rehearsal studio for the past 6 months working hard on brand new material for our first full length release and couldn’t be more excited to hit the studio again over the next few weeks. We are also pumped to be working with two engineers who have been involved with some of our favorite releases in recent years and are sure you guys are going to love the end result. More details and studio updates coming soon."

UK tech metal group Aliases have confirmed the identity of their new vocalist.

Sydney pop punk stalwarts Heroes For Hire have announced a hometown headline show in support of their third album, 'No Apologies'. The band are set to take over The Lair on December 1st and will be supported by rising pop rock Melbournites Masketta Fall.

Devildriver vocalist Dez Fafara has released a new benefit song, which was created to raise funds for his sister, currently battling breast cancer.

For The Foxes recently recorded a new EP on their iPhones, and have decided to release the sessions as a free download on their Bandcamp page. The free download contains custom single cover art for each song and the EP itself, full video of the band recording "It's Time" under a parachute, and a gallery of photos of the band making the EP all on their iPhones.

Swingin' Utters have announced that they will be releasing a new 7" on November 6 through Fat Wreck Chords. The record is titled "The Librarians Are Hiding Something" and contains two new songs, which are the first appearance of new bassist Miles Peck, and marks Jack Dalrymple’s debut as a songwriter for the band, as he and vocalist Johnny Bonnel co-wrote the tracks.

Lincoln Le Fevre has posted a new song from his forthcoming album online. The song "Get Drunk, See Bands" is taken from the new album "Resonation", which will be released on October 12 through Poison City Records.
