In terms of Australian heavy music, Northlane currently sit high within the already healthy contingent. 2013 has already seen the band perform as part of Soundwave and release highly anticipated (and very well-received) sophomore studio album, ‘Singularity’, which debuted at #3 on the ARIA Charts. During the week of the full-length’s release, Northlane travelled to Melbourne to perform at the packed Destroy All Lines-run club event, Plastic. Killyourstereo.com was there to capture the performance and additionally caught up with the band when they stopped in at our office. ‘Singularity’ is available now via UNFD. Senses Fail have released the music video for their song 'Mi Amor'. The track comes from the band’s latest album, Renacer, available now through Staple Records/3Wise Records.

Following the announcement of their sophomore full length, Mixtapes have premiered a new song from the upcoming album.

Jimmy Eat World have released a new song titled 'I Will Steal You Back'. The track is taken from the band's upcoming eighth studio album, Damage, due out on June 11 through RCA Records.

Sharks have premiered another new song from their upcoming second full length. The track, 'Sunday's Hand', is taken from the album Selfhood, due out on April 30 through Rise Records.

The line up for the 2013 edition Resist and Trial And Error's annual Hardcore Festival was announced earlier tonight on Triple J's Short.Fast.Loud program, with US hardcore legends Youth Of Today set to headline the two day event. The festival will take place once again at The Hi-Fi in Sydney, with an 18+ show on Saturday July 13, and an all ages show the following day on Sunday July 14. Tickets for both days will be available through The Hi-Fi's website. Joining Youth Of Today on the 18+ show are Toe To Toe, Warbrain, Vigilante, Boneless and Higher Power. The all ages show will feature Youth Of Today, 50 Lions, Relentless, Survival, Shackles, Outsiders Code, The Weight, Outright, Crisis Alert and Rain Dogs.

I Am The Avalanche have announced through a post on their Facebook page that they are currently demoing material for their new album. The band posted simply, "Demoing new songs for our next album. This record's going to be insane."

Octaves have posted a new song from their forthcoming album online with AbsolutePunk. The song "Poppycock" is taken from the band's new album "Which Way The Wind Blows", which will be released on April 16 through Bridge Nine Records.

Living With Lions have announced through their Twitter account that they are currently recording a new 7". The band is recording the 7" at Rain City Recorders in Vancouver, which is where the band recorded their 2007 EP "Dude Manor".
