Kayps Announces 2026 Australian Tour

A month after signing to Bad Apples Music, rising Walmatjarri/Bunuba artist Kayps has announced an epic run of Australian tour dates.

In recent months, the hip-hop and neo-soul artist has established himself as an artist to watch with solid new singles. He’s kept the momentum up with the release of his latest number, 765, which has caught the attention of fans and industry tastemakers alike.

Kayps is preparing to release his long-awaited album, BUNABA BABY, on Friday, 14 August, via Bad Apples Music. To celebrate the release, Kayps has revealed Australian tour dates for August and September.

The tour begins at Sydney’s Phoenix Central Park on Thursday, 27 August.

It continues at Melbourne’s Bar Open on Saturday, 29 August – a co-headline with Ricky Neil JR – followed by Perth’s Rosemount Hotel on Friday, 11 September, Albany’s Six Degrees on Friday, 18 September, Margaret River’s Settlers Tavern on Saturday, 19 September, and concludes at Broome’s The Roey on Friday, 9 October. Tickets to all shows are now available.

“I am unbelievably excited to bring this project on tour; it’s such a great opportunity to tell my stories that come from my family who live in a town that the majority of people have never heard of,” Kayps commented in a statement.

“It’s an opportunity for me to connect with people on a more personal level where I haven’t been able to previously.”

He added, “We’ve developed a set that feels so organic and homegrown, and we’re trying to convey the honesty of the project to its truest form, and I’m so lucky to be joined by Calvin Bennett and Isaiah Quintana as a part of my band for this tour.”

Having appeared at events such as WAMFEST and SXSW in Sydney and Austin, BIGSOUND, and more, many of Kayps’ career achievements come after winning the triple j Indigenous Initiative award in 2021. In 2021 and 2022, he was named a Top 5 finalist in the triple j Unearthed High competition.
