TEG Names Geoff Jones Chairman, Brad Banducci New CEO

From Woolworths Group to TEG, Brad Banducci will be an integral part of a busy team.

Big moves out of TEG today, with the Australian touring giant announcing that longtime Chief Executive Officer Geoff Jones is the company’s new Chairman, and Brad Banducci is the new CEO.

Jones served as the company’s CEO for 14 years, while Banducci joins the TEG team after over 30 years of leadership experience in retail and consumer sectors. Most recently, Banducci was the CEO of Woolworths Group.

From Woolworths to TEG, Banducci will be an integral part of a busy team. The company operates globally and includes TEG Live, TEG Sport, TEG Dainty, TEG Van Edmond, TEG MJR, Laneway Festival, Handsome Tours, TEG Europe, Qudos Bank Arena, Ticketek, SXSW Sydney, and more.

Banducci will commence at TEG on Monday, 31 March.

Throughout his tenure at TEG, Jones showcased the company’s integrated model, which led to its multiplying “in value and geographical footprint.” Under his stewardship, Ticketek transformed into TEG, which now operates 30 businesses and is a global leader in live music and other forms of entertainment, ticketing, digital, and data.

In a statement, Jones expressed his delight at handing the reins of CEO to Banducci and his excitement about the opportunity to continue growing the business.

“I am delighted to pass the baton to Brad, whose proven track record makes him the ideal leader to guide TEG into its next phase,” Jones said. “As Chairman, I look forward to working with Brad and the Team to continue to grow the Business.”

Banducci stated that the new role follows his “personal passion” for live events. He added, “I am honoured to join TEG at this exciting time in its journey.

“Under Geoff’s leadership, the company has built a strong foundation, and I look forward to working in partnership with Geoff, Cameron Hoy (Chief Operating Officer), our investors Silver Lake, Mercury Capital and Australian Super, and the broader TEG Team, to deliver exceptional live experiences for all of our customers and stakeholders.
