One of the country’s most beloved rock bands, Melbourne-based Kingswood, have signed a new record deal with ABC Music.
With over 90 million streams to their name, Kingswood are a multi-Platinum and Gold ARIA-accredited band. And with their recent country-rock tunes, they’ve earned Golden Guitar nominations alongside the recognition from ARIA, APRA, AIR, and more.
Kingswood join ABC Music as they prepare to release a new album that blurs the line between traditional country and rock music, drawing inspiration from artists such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Alan Jackson, and Vince Gill. The first single, Lovin’ A Girl, is set for release next month.
In a statement, the band said of their new label home, “We’re thrilled to be joining ABC Music. The excitement for this new chapter has been echoed by Asho [Graham Ashton, ABC Music] and the whole team at ABC, and we're looking forward to creating something special.
“Our career has seen many tangents and explorations of all the music we love and are inspired by, and this new album is no exception. It’s a romantic nod to classic country rock, the likes of which Australia hasn’t seen before.”
Graham Ashton, Senior Label Manager at ABC Music, added: “I have always been blown away by KINGSWOOD’s work ethic. When the new songs landed on my desk, it was undeniable that we should work together. Stoked to have them as part of the ABC Music family.”

The new album is coming soon; as are the band’s appearances at the country-inspired Australian music festivals, the Gympie Music Muster, The Bend Classic and Savannah In The Round in August and October, respectively.
Earlier this year, Kingswood unveiled a reimagined version of Tom Petty’s You Wreck Me and began their massive Midnight Mavericks Tour, which is ongoing and features their upcoming festival appearances.
In 2024, Kingswood embarked on the longest-ever tour the country has ever seen, performing an astounding 112 shows in six months. The gruelling Hometowns Tour not only redefined Kingswood as a live act but also served as a testament to their endurance, passion, and deep connection with audiences across Australia.
