Graham Ashton Appointed Senior Label Manager At ABC Music

Australian music industry professional and singer-songwriter Graham “Asho” Ashton has been appointed ABC Music's new Senior Label Manager.

A spokesperson for ABC Music stated that they’re “thrilled” to welcome Ashton to the team and mentioned his “wealth of knowledge and experience” in numerous music industry roles, including stints in record labels, A&R, and artist management. ABC Music noted that they’re “excited” to see the “creative vision and leadership” Ashton will bring to his new role.

Within the music industry, Asho has worked alongside artists such as Robbie Williams, Powderfinger, The Living End, Paul Kelly, The Go-Betweens, and more. He’s been the Executive Programmer at BIGSOUND and, in 2010, joined the Footstomp Music team, delivering artist, project, and event management, label services, and artist development in the music services company. He’s been everywhere.

In a statement, Asho said of joining ABC Music, “I’m absolutely stoked to have been appointed Senior Label Manager with ABC Music. I wasn’t looking for a career change until this specific role became available. The roster of artists and the label team made this feel like the perfect fit for my musical passions and skill set.

“I couldn’t be more proud of what we achieved with Footstomp Music for the last 15 years and am incredibly grateful to the artists and colleagues that have been along for the ride. This is my vocation, and it feels like I am at exactly the right place at exactly the right time.”

With ABC Music, Asho will be the Senior Label Manager for an impressive roster of artists, including country stars Lee Kernaghan, The Wolfe Brothers, Max Jackson, and Travis Collins, as well as several of Australia’s favourites: Emily Wurramara, Teenie Tiny Stevies, The Wiggles, Dami Im, Custard, and more.
