Just a week after rumours surfaced that Tomorrowland could be touching down in Melbourne in 2026, festival organisers have confirmed that the CORE stage will be heading Down Under for the first time in 2026.
In late July, attendees who were walking towards the CORE stage at Tomorrowland festival in Belgium noticed something significant: a poster noting that Tomorrowland will head to Melbourne in November 2026.
According to a video posted on TikTok, a map of the world on a poster covering a fence at the festival contained markers for Melbourne in November 2026, and for Los Angeles in May 2026, marking two highly anticipated new locations.
CORE does not have the full-scale production of Tomorrowland. However, it was born within the beloved EDM music festival, and now, it represents its own wholly unique experience that has a strong focus on music genres and connecting with nature.
The event is making its Australian debut in 2026 after two successful editions in Medellín, Colombia. As well as arriving in Los Angeles for the first time, the Melbourne event will take place on Saturday, 28 November 2026.
After teaming up with Framed and Pitch Control, CORE heads to Melbourne, offering “a unique festival that blends the finest music in a natural, enchanting setting.” The line-up announcement and ticketing details will be shared in early 2026.

The CORE stage was designed and crafted in-house by Tomorrowland’s creative team. It has the soon-to-be legendary face design pictured above and is known for showcasing deep, alternative sounds. It’s also recognised for hosting an immersive audiovisual experience that takes punters on a multi-sensory journey with lights, videos, and scents.
The CORE stage has a sonic focus on alternative house and techno music while showcasing different subgenres featuring internationally renowned artists, new talents, and local acts.
In a statement, Debby Wilmsen, spokesperson for WEAREONE.world, said of the CORE stage’s Australian debut: “We are thrilled to bring the iconic CORE stage to Australia.
“As one of the signature experiences of Tomorrowland, CORE represents the essence of our music, art, and stage design. We look forward to sharing this unique atmosphere with fans in Australia and around the world.”
Tomorrowland introduced the CORE stage in 2017 at its main festival in Boom, Belgium, and has also featured in Brazil and at Tomorrowland Winter in the Alpe d’Huez ski resort in France.
A standalone edition of CORE took place in Tulum, Mexico, in 2023, and Medellín, Colombia, in 2024. Artists who have performed on the CORE stage include Vintage Culture, Maceo Plex, Disclosure, Dixon, Paul Kalkbrenner, Agents Of Time, and more.
