Is Tomorrowland Festival Heading To Melbourne In 2026?

Could the internationally renowned electronic dance music festival Tomorrowland be heading to Australia?

Attendees who were walking towards the CORE stage at Tomorrowland festival in Belgium over the weekend noticed something significant: a poster noting that Tomorrowland will head to Melbourne in November 2026.

According to a video posted on TikTok, a map of the world on a poster covering a fence at the festival contained markers for Melbourne in November 2026, and for Los Angeles in May 2026, marking two highly anticipated new locations.

Details surrounding the potential dates, line-up, and venues haven’t yet been announced. If Tomorrowland does touch down in Melbourne in 2026, it’ll mark the festival’s Australian debut.

In addition to its event in Belgium, Tomorrowland has also appeared in the US, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico, and is rumoured to host the festival in Thailand in 2026.

At the time of publication, it’s uncertain if Australia will receive the whole Tomorrowland festival experience or if we’ll only have the CORE stage Down Under.

Tomorrowland introduced the CORE stage in 2017 at its main festival in Boom, Belgium, and has also featured in Brazil and at Tomorrowland Winter in the Alpe d’Huez ski resort in France.

A standalone edition of CORE took place in Tulum, Mexico, in 2023, and Medellín, Colombia, in 2024. Artists who have performed on the CORE stage include Vintage Culture, Maceo Plex, Disclosure, Dixon, Paul Kalkbrenner, Agents Of Time, and more.

Weekend one of this year’s Tomorrowland, which occurred last weekend, was devastated by a fire that tore through its main stage 48 hours before the festival was due to take place in Boom, Belgium. However, thanks to some “incredible teamwork,” a makeshift main stage was built, and the festival went ahead.

Acts including Anyma, Charlotte de Witte, Armin van Buuren, Darren Styles and many others performed at this year’s Tomorrowland festival.

Tomorrowland festival is one of the largest and most iconic music festivals in the world, renowned for its elaborate stage designs, impressive line-ups, and immersive atmosphere. In 2023, Tomorrowland was voted the World’s No. 1 Festival in the DJ Mag Top 100 Festivals poll. In 2024, the festival celebrated its 20th anniversary.
