Interrupt Festival is Melbourne’s newest celebration of underground electronic music wizardry, where handheld consoles, chip sounds and pounding dancefloor energy collide. Many of the artists will be using the m8 tracker, a tiny powerhouse that’s turning heads across the globe.
Across two nights at Footscray’s Kindred Bandroom, the festival brings together a stacked lineup of international trailblazers & homegrown innovators pushing the limits of just how much live music can fit in a pocket.
With a lineup that includes Trash80 (USA) (the legendary pioneer behind the m8) alongside Chipzel (IRE), known for her explosive chiptune energy and blistering live sets, and Chibi-Tech (JPN), delivering hyper-detailed, genre-bending sonic chaos. They’re joined by Australia’s own cTrix, whose infectious grooves and hardware wizardry bridge retro and rave with effortless flair.
Expect immersive visuals, custom rigs incorporating more than just the m8, and a floor shaking with DIY energy. Whether you’re a synth nerd, game soundtrack enthusiast, or just chasing something truly different:
Interrupt. Minimal screen, maximum sound.
