Give us a short description of your music: The project = playing around with pure sound. Manipulating field recordings, building synth tones, arranging everything into fun structures.
What is the best thing that's happened to you/your band so far? I was at Camp Doogs the other week, and some wide-eyed lad in the pit grabs me by the shoulders and gasps: "Leafy Suburbs? Your music is my life." Not sure how soberly, but still.
Has the party side of the music industry been all you were hoping for so far in your career? Leafy Suburbs music doesn't engender so much partying, despite my efforts to make semi-regular 'bangers'. It's more nerd-out-at-home, creep-out-the-neighbours music. But yes the industry is full of beautiful parties, glad to say it.

What industry lessons would you like to take away from WAMFest? The line-up looks really diverse and unpredictable which is exciting; I'd like to learn more about how that approach can be successfully implemented. Also, keen for Ev Morris' talks on feminism in the music industry.
What acts are you looking forward to checking out at WAMFest? Excited to scope some newish acts I've yet to see: Bells Rapids, Parnell March, Beni Bjah. Some favourite DJs are playing (Ben Taaffe, Henry Maxwell, Rok Riley) plus live heroes like Bahasa Malay and Mathas.
Why should people come and see you from amongst the many cool bands at WAMFest? Because I'm the best. Nah, I'm shit. But sometimes you get the hunger for weird electro-acoustic layering where drones meet rhythms and melodies and I think I can at least contribute to satisfying that hunger.
When and where is your WAMFest gig? 5 Nov, The Moon
