New Zealand talent Sola Rosa enlisted Sydney singer-songwriter Thandi Phoenix for his latest single, Something Good, and now the instant hit has a striking music video to accompany it.
Premiering today via The Music, Something Good gets reinterpreted in the new clip via dancer and poet Jahra Wasasala.
"The Something Good video was the perfect opportunity to work with Upper Hutt-based dancer Connor ‘Ooshcon’ Masseurs,” director Elliot O'Donnell told The Music.
“I met Connor through his partner, the phenomenal dancer and poet Jahra Wasasala, who also styled him for this video. Connor is well known in the freestyle dance circuit internationally and brought a joyful energy to this project.
“He really knows how to interact with and interpret the physical environment and song into movement that is compelling and engaging. The video was shot by Wellington-based Peruvian video maker Mirella Moschella who has a background documenting both graffiti and street artists and dancers. It was shot down at Moa point by Wellington Airport."
Something Good appears on Sola Rosa’s seventh album, Chasing The Sun, which is out now.
